Welcome to the Tastes of the Mid West by the Mid West Food Industries Alliance.

Growing the food and beverage industry and agri-food culture in the Mid West of WA is not done alone. We are proud to partner with key organisations in our region and across WA to work together on mutually beneficial projects, activities and outcomes. #Stronger Together
MWIFA has worked alongside the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development (DPIRD) on a number of projects including workshops, business visits and the revision of our Food & Beverage Capability Guide. Most recently we are working together via a Regional Collaboration Agreement, along with MWDC.
MWFIA has worked with the Mid West Development Commission (MWDC) on key events including the Marketplace (2022 - 2025); Tastes of the Mid West at the Mingenew Mid West Expo (2023 - 2024); and the State Budget Breakfast (2023). MWDC is also part of our Regional Collaboration Agreement with DPIRD.
MWFIA has worked with the hospitality and cookery lecturers and students of the Central Regional TAFE on a wonderful number of events. From our signature event, Marketplace, through to the Mingenew Mid West Expo, the Blessing of the Fleet, workshops and farm visits, and our Community video series. We are thrilled to support our next generation of foodies.
MWFIA has worked with the Mid West Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MWCCI) on the establishment of the Excellence in Food and Beverage Manufacturing Award as part of the annual Business Excellence Awards program with sponsorship by DPIRD. Additionally, MWCCI have been a long time champion of all things Tastes of the Mid West via their economic summit dinners showcasing the finest of local produce, chefs and hospitality.
MWFIA has been a member of the Buy West Eat Best (BWEB) program since 2022. The Buy West Eat Best program is designed to showcase the depth of food and beverages produced in Western Australia. MWFIA has attended every annual Meet the Buyer event with BWEB since 2021, and BWEB have also been a strong supporter of the Marketplace event and MWFIA.
MWFIA partnered with the Foundation for Rural Regional Renewal (FRRR) via a Community Impact Grant to deliver a series of activities focused on enhancing community health living and building resilience in our local food producers. Our Community Video Series and Online Producer directory are key outcomes from this partner funding.
